Story Crafts September & October 2024 Dr. Suess

Our story and craft drop off classes are suited for children from 3 years. Every class starts off with a favorite children’s story book read out loud in English and each term has a specific theme.

Then we will get crafty with different projects relating to the book and theme. Some projects are completed in one class and others are created over the span of several days. Classes are held in English and provide a great opportunity to introduce the kids to the language (although team members are fluent in French as well).

Each term the kids will have the opportunity to experiment with a variety of different materials and techniques.  All our projects are child driven, process-based art projects. We focus on the joy in the process of creating a unique piece, rather than on the result. Children may bring home a project that reflects their own unique idea of the project rather than a simple copy of an example. Little ones given the opportunity to express themselves in their own way through visual arts can discover confidence, joy of mastery, hidden talents, their voice, untapped creativity, and imagination.

In September and October our theme is based on the wonderful books of Dr. Suess
